Production debutants to steer Pulsar in Sydney

Newcomers to the Australian Production Car Series Brianna Wilson and Nathan Stephens will step into the FullGas Racing Nissan Pulsar this weekend, as part of the Tyreright Sydney Challenge.

The car was previously driven at the opening round of the series at Bathurst, with Dimitri Agathos and James Duckworth driving it to class victory.

Wilson, a past karting champion is teamed up this weekend with experienced racer Stephens with the pair are looking forward to the challenge.

“The car is being run by the FullGas Racing, a team with vast experience so it takes some pressure off and I can just get on with the job of driving,” Wilson said.

“The aim of course will be a class win but with 4 hours of racing ahead of us I’m not underestimating the task at hand. It will be the longest motor race I’ve entered and the first time sharing a drive.”

“I’m stepping in a guest driver this weekend and am excited about teaming up with the teenage speedster,” Nathan said.

“I have been working with Bri this year helping her transform those karting skills into motor racing skills and I’ve got to say she has exceeded my expectations in that time.”

Also racing under FullGas Racing colours this weekend will be the FullGas Racing Subaru WRX STI, with Dimitri Agathos and Lachlan Gibbons to steer the Class A1 entry this weekend for the four one-hour races.

“FullGas Racing is a Sydney-based family team and we are very thankful for the support of a number of great supporters, including supported employment program Nova Employment which works exclusively with people with disability or other significant barriers to work,” Agathos said.

“We are greatly looking forward to having two Nova-supported pit crew assistants on board this weekend as we look to bring home both the Subaru and the Pulsar in strong positions in their respective classes.

“Thanks also goes to leading performance suspension manufacturer Whiteline and also premium lubricating oils company Castrol Australia who are another long-time supporter starting from the go-kart days.

The Australian Production Car Series is part of Round 4 of the Shannons Nationals at Sydney Motorsport Park, running across 7-9 July.
