Dimitri Agathos and Lachlan Gibbons are hoping for a home ground advantage, heading into the third round of the Australian Production Car Series at Sydney Motorsport Park this weekend.
The two Sydney drivers will race their Subaru WRX STI across this weekend’s four one-hour races.
Agathos says the car should perform well around the circuit.
“The Subaru tends to be a well-balanced car through the high-speed corners, and we also have the advantage of all-wheel-drive traction for the slower corners, and SMP has a mixture of both,” Agathos said.
Gibbons added their consistency this season will reward the pair with podiums.
“It’s all about consistency, strategy and reliability,” Gibbons said.
“As we demonstrated at Winton, if we can have a trouble-free run and the car runs reliably, we can finish on the podium.”
The Agathos and Gibbons Subaru features as part of Round 4 of the Shannons Nationals, across 7-9 July.
