Motorsport Australia has confirmed changes to the upcoming Race Sandown schedule, along with the extended broadcast times for the upcoming event.
Coverage of the Shannons SpeedSeries across 7plus and 7mate is now locked in, with Saturday and Sunday’s action broadcast live and free across the Seven network.
On 7mate, motorsport fans will be able to enjoy free-to-air coverage from 12.30pm – 2.30pm AEDT on Saturday, while Sunday will see a further two hours of coverage from 2pm – 4pm AEDT.
Meanwhile, the majority of Saturday and Sunday’s action will also be live and free on 7plus, with Saturday’s streaming starting at 9.55am AEDT for the National Trans Am Series qualifying session. Saturday’s coverage will end with the final race of the day – National Trans Am’s race two.
Sunday’s live and free 7plus coverage will start at 11.50am, with Formula Open beginning the day, before the final Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series race wraps up the coverage on both 7plus and 7mate.
Unfortunately due to shipping delays, a number of Monochrome GT4 Series vehicles have not arrived in time for the event, with the category making the difficult decision to withdraw from the event line-up.

Motorsport Australia Director of Motorsport & Commercial Operations Michael Smith said the event promised to deliver a strong start to the new era of the Shannons SpeedSeries.
“We’re excited to be kicking off the Australian motorsport season with a bang at Race Sandown for this year’s opening round of the Shannons SpeedSeries,” Smith said.
“We’re also thrilled to be broadcasting this event live and free across 7mate and 7plus, with free-to-air and streaming coverage across both Saturday and Sunday.
“While it’s a shame to not have GT4 racing at Sandown, they will be a key part of the Shannons SpeedSeries throughout the year and will certainly be a category to watch in 2024.
“This year’s Shannons SpeedSeries is certainly shaping up to be one of the best and we look forward to getting Race Sandown underway next week.”
For those wishing to attend the event, tickets remain on sale through motorsporttickets.com.au or at the gate.
Round one of the Shannons SpeedSeries, Race Sandown, will be held from 9-11 February at Sandown International Raceway.
