Targett to round out fantastic season in Bathurst finale

Grove Racing’s Oscar Targett will return for one last Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge Australia hit out at next month’s Supercheap Auto Bathurst International after a breakthrough round win in South Australia.

The 17-year-old has been one of the standout performers in the one-make Porsche category this year and currently sits in third place on the overall standings behind series leader Marco Giltrap and the most recent race winner, Aron Shields.

The exciting category featured at Shell V-Power Motorsport Park as part of the Shannons Trophy Series earlier this month – where a pole position and two race wins for Targett all but ensured the round win.

While the title might be out of reach after missing the opening round of the season, the young gun remains one of the hot favourites for the final round of the season at Mount Panorama, where it will be his first time behind the wheel of a Porsche at the famous circuit.
