Shannons in safe hands

Team Medical Australia’s partnership with CAMS will continue in 2018, with the medical service provider on board to provide medical services at Shannons Nationals events around the country.

Fans and competitors will be familiar with Team Medical Australia’s support of the event, with the leaders in Australia motor sport medical services previously providing their services to Shannon Nationals events in recent years, as well as many other leading motor sport events.

“This is another amazing achievement by the team and reflects not only the highest quality medical service we provide, but also trust that we will continue to perform as the best in Australia” Dr Brent May, President and Chief Medical Officer of Team Medical Australia said.

“These new events, including the first ever event at Tailem Bend, mean that the drivers, teams and officials involved will be provided with contemporary, world class trauma management.”

Team Medical Australia already provide medical services for a number of national events, including household Australian events such the Formula 1 2018 Rolex Australian Grand Prix, Supercars and the Bathurst 12 hour.

The service is made up of volunteer doctors, nurses, paramedics and specialty drivers and in 2018 celebrates 13 years of service at events both in Australia and around the world.
