Chris Perini made a solid start to his title defence in Phillip Island after securing two race wins and a podium in the opening round.

Perth’s Barbagallo Raceway hosted the second round of the series with local West Australian Elliott Schutte securing his maiden win in the category. The win didn’t come easy for Schutte, who had to overcome multiple lead changes and a late safety car intervention to get his win.

The third round at Sydney Motorsport Park marked a return to victory lane for Chris Perini, who shared race wins with Schutte, after producing an impressive comeback from fourth and dealing with a five second penalty to beat long-time rival Peter Paddon.

Paddon and teammate Peter Carr would eventually get their first win of the season at Queensland Raceway in a nail-biting finish, however Perini ended up with the round thanks to his fourth win of the year in the second race of the weekend.

With just one round remaining in the series, there is plenty to look forward to in the title fight with a number of drivers in contention for the series title.

The final round of the 2022 season will be at The Bend Motorsport Park on 21-23 October.
