Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge series winner heads to Bathurst

Outright Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Australia presented by Pirelli winner, Jordan Love, will make his debut at Mount Panorama this week.

Racing on Shannons Nationals’ line-up this season, the West Australian will graduate to Porsche Carrera Cup Australia at Bathurst.

“Obviously Bathurst is like no other place in Australia and around the world but in terms of race preparation I treat it the same,” Love said.

“So just simulator work, vision from previous years, data, and just going over a plan for the weekend and what we want to achieve… it feels so special to drive around such a place like Bathurst.

“It’s good to embrace the opportunity given to be able to do what I’m doing, but also block it all out and focus on the job at hand.”

Love made his debut in Porsche Carrera Cup Australia at Sandown, where he was placed as high as third in a hotly contested field.

“The previous round at Sandown started off really well, but I tried too hard and made too many mistakes which cost me,” Love said.

“The plan for this weekend is just to focus on making minimal mistakes, stay consistent and focus less on the result.”

Porsche Carrera Cup’s first practice session will be held today, with three races held across Friday right through to Sunday.
