More coverage for SpeedSeries in 2023

Stan Sport and the Nine Network have confirmed extended coverage for next year’s SpeedSeries events.

With more free-to-air coverage in 2023, along with a high quality live, ad-free product on Stan Sport, motorsport fans will get to see even more racing as the SpeedSeries looks to build on a strong year.

With the Shannons Motorsport Australia Championships making up a large component of the 2022 events, this year’s coverage reached more than 1.5 million people throughout this year.

Next year’s unified SpeedSeries will see all events run under the one brand to further solidify the event offerings at each and every round of the 2023 season.

With 2023 plans confirmed, Stan Sport in conjunction with the Nine Network, will expand the free-to-air coverage to now include every broadcasted SpeedSeries event.

The Nine Network free-to-air broadcast will be increased by over 30 percent with three hours of high definition SpeedSeries broadcast live on the Nine Network.

There will also be expanded, and enhanced category highlights replayed on the Nine Network.

All the live action for every event, including special insights and features will always be live, ad-free and exclusive on Stan Sport.

International viewers, including New Zealand SpeedSeries fans, tuned in through motorsport.tv, making the SpeedSeries and its categories accessible to the world.

The revised 2023 SpeedSeries promises to deliver even more, with an expanded eight round series around some of Australia’s great race tracks is set to deliver a record year.

Motorsport Australia Director of Motorsport & Commercial Operations Michael Smith said the success of 2022 paved the way for an even better 2023.

β€œWe’re exceptionally proud of each and every Shannons Motorsport Australia Championships event that was held throughout 2022 and it’s clear the SpeedSeries is growing stronger every year,” Smith said.

β€¨β€œWith a unified SpeedSeries brand and a strong calendar of events for 2023, these events are only going to get bigger, better and more popular in the years ahead.”

Chief Operating Officer of the Australian Racing Group Liam Curkpatrick said plans for 2023 were well underway after a record 2022.

β€œThis was the biggest year of racing that SpeedSeries has seen, from broadcasting to trackside spectators and entrant participation,” Curkpatrick said.

β€œThe entertainment and content factor in what we have produced is exceptional and it’s a credit to all involved that we are able to achieve what we have this year.

β€œConfirmation of more broadcasting in an exciting announcement today, and there’s even more initiatives that puts the SpeedSeries in great shape for 2023.”

Stan Sport Director of Sport Ben Kimber was excited for the expansion of the broadcast after a strong 2022.

“The inaugural SpeedSeries season delivered for motorsport fans from start to finish,” Kimber said.
