Jack Fouracre will return to the CAMS Australian Endurance Championship with Eggleston Motorsport as the team prepare for the categoryβs first ever race at The Bend Motorsport Park.
Fouracre will join reigning champion Peter Hackett in the same Mercedes-AMG GT3 that Hackett drove in last monthβs Australian GT championship opening round with Dominic Storey at Albert Park.
With Storey unavailable, Fouracre will jump behind the wheel at a brand new track that will present plenty of challenges.
βItβs hard to say (how weβll go) for The Bend because no-oneβs been there, no-one knows what the trackβs like, and Iβve really got to get my head around the car, so Iβd probably be really happy with a top five result for the first round,β Fouracre toldΒ Speedcafe.com.
With Storey racing in the Dunlop Super2 Series in 2018, Fouracre was relishing the opportunity to spend plenty of time behind the wheel.
βItβs obviously a great opportunity to drive with Pete and the team,β Fouracre said.
βFrom their results last year Iβm pretty excited for that and looking forward to it.
βI had driven the car on AMG days, so itβs given me an idea of what the car is like compared to the Audi from last year and the year before, so knew it was a pretty good thing.β
The CAMS Australian Endurance Championship will headline the Shannons Nationalsβ first round on 13 β 15 April at the Bend Motorsport.
