Formula Ford title contenders buckle up for Winton

The Australian Formula Ford Series will join the Shannons SpeedSeries for the first time in 2023 next weekend as it forms part of a jam-packed Hi-Tec Oils Race Winton.

The series is coming off the back of its third round of the season at Symmons Plains Raceway with a thrilling weekend of racing, which resulted in the overall lead changing hands.

Thanks to three podium finishes in Tasmania, Zak Lobko is now the series leader after replacing Matt Hillyer, while race wins for both Xavier Kokai and Jake Santalucia saw the duo climb up the standings and into third and fourth respectively.

All the contenders from Tasmania have been confirmed to return for another round of epic Formula Ford action at Winton.

Also looking to work their way back into title conversations will be Conor Somers and Eddy Beswick, while Cody Maynes Rutty and Kobi Williams will look to bounce back after finding themselves up the front end of the grid in Tasmania.

The series will kick off the weekend’s action bright and early on Friday morning, with the first of two practice sessions ahead of qualifying in the late afternoon.

The Australian Formula Ford Series will then be the first to race around the tight and twisty rural circuit on Saturday morning before its second race runs on Saturday afternoon, which will be broadcast live and ad-free via the Stan Sport coverage. The final race of the weekend will take place on Sunday morning.
