Team Australia accepting interest for 2024 FIA Motorsport Games

Team Australia is on the lookout for drivers to represent the nation in this year’s FIA Motorsport Games.

Taking place in Valencia, Spain, the third instalment of the growing multidisciplinary event will welcome competitors from all around the world for a four-day festival in October after successful previous editions in France and Italy.

This year, an expanded list of categories and disciplines will form part of the FIA Motorsport Games, with 28 different competitions forming part of the event.

From circuit racing and karting to rally, slalom and Esports, there are a variety of disciplines will be on show, with the most recent addition being the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli.

Founded 32 years ago, it is one of the most prestigious single-make categories, with two international series in Europe and North America and more than 1000 drivers from around the world.

The one-make series joins five other categories open to Motorsport Australia licence holders, including GT and GT Sprint, Touring Car, Formula 4 and Drifting.

Picking up a Gold Medal for Australia at the previous edition of the FIA Motorsport Games was Matt Campbell in the GT Sprint event, with Brenton and Stephen Grove also taking part via GT endurance.

Other Aussies to compete were Supercheap Auto TCR Australia star Aaron Cameron in the Touring Car Cup, finishing 11th in the Medal Race, while Costa Toparis made his Formula 4 debut – finishing 13th overall.
