A 22-car Trico Trans Am field will tackle Mount Panorama next weekend for the penultimate round of the season at the Supercheap Auto Bathurst International.
Jason Pryde, Des Collier and Domain Ramsey are back after making starts at Queensland Raceway, while West Australian Brett Niall will bolster the Pro-Am ranks in his category debut.
Three-time Trans Am race winner Tim Brook will line up for his first start of the season, having most recently competed at the same event in 2023.
Nash Morris returns to the field with Supercheap Auto Racing after missing the last round, along with TA2 and Trans Am stalwart Mark Crutcher who will line up in Pro-Am.
The regular combatants all return, with the three-way title battle set to go down to the wire in Adelaide. TFH Racing’s Todd Hazelwood currently leads the series on 660 points, with reigning champion James Moffat (Garry Rogers Motorsport) 32 points back and The Racing Academy’s Jordan Boys a further 15 points adrift in third.
Young Gun of the Year honours are well and truly up for grabs, Nathan Herne leading Elliott Cleary by just six points. Joshua Webster (Dream Racing Australia) holds a 31-point lead in the Pro-Am fight over John Holinger and Josh Thomas a further 29 points back.
A unique format will greet competitors in Bathurst, with a condensed two-day schedule headlined by a pair of 40-minute races on Saturday. The early conclusion will allow teams time to prep their cars for Adelaide, with on-track action commencing just a few days later.
The spectacular two-week finale to 2024 will see competitors competing for the Mountain to the City title, a two-round point score held within the Bathurst and Adelaide weekends. The popular trophy belts from 2022’s Bathurst International round will also make a return, on offer to the top three drivers after Saturday’s pair of races around Mount Panorama.
Drivers will hit the track on Friday, November 8 for practice and qualifying, before two races live and free on 7mate on Saturday, November 9.
