The timetable for the penultimate event of the 2026 Shannons SpeedSeries season has been confirmed with a massive weekend on the cards for LIQUI MOLY GT Festival Sydney.
Taking place at Sydney Motorsport Park on 18-20 September, there are more than 20 hours of track time scheduled for the bumper three-day event with twilight and night racing on Saturday the headline act for the round.
Leading the six-category event will be GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS, along with season regulars Monochrome GT4 Australia and Motorcraft Mustang Cup Australia, while Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge Australia and First Focus Radical Cup Australia both returning from Queensland.
Rounding out the categories is the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli Australasia, which is back for the first time since The Bend in May – the popular one-make series will be holding its season finale in Sydney where its champions for 2026 will be decided.
While Friday will see all six categories hold multiple practice sessions, the real action begins on Saturday with Qualifying and the first set of races making up a massive day of action.
With Radicals kicking off the action with qualifying, the day will then wrap up with the twilight race for Mustang Cup Australia and night races for Mustang Cup Australia, Monochrome GT4 Australia, Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli Australasia and GT World Challenge Australia.
The event then concludes on Sunday with another round of races for each category.
In addition to the track action, there are plenty of opportunities for fans to see the cars up close with a special pit walk and autograph session taking place on Saturday afternoon, before GT World Challenge Australia hosts a public grid walk.
Fans unable to make it to Sydney Motorsport Park for the highly anticipated event can watch all the action unfold via the FOX Sports Australia and Kayo Sports broadcast from 1:00pm AEST on Saturday and 10:00am / on Sunday, while International viewers will be able to tune into GT World Challenge Australia and Monochrome GT4 Australia’s qualifying and races via the GT World YouTube channel.
