Thrilling races were the order of the day to cap off Saturday action at the Shannons SpeedSeries LIQUI MOLY GT Festival The Bend.
GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS
Brendon Leitch and Sergio Pires took a lights-to-flag victory in their Geyer Valmont Racing by Tigani Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo ensuring a quick bounce back from the disappointing conclusion to the opening round.
The story of the race was the pit stops where many of the leading contenders were held allowing Thomas Randle and Mark Rosser Castrol Team BRM Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II to finish second.
Rounding out the podium was the Arise Racing GT Ferrari 296 GT3 of Jaxon Evans and Elliott Schutte.
Paul Stokell and Matt Stoupas drive their KFC Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II to victory in the Trophy Class.
Monochrome GT4 Australia
What a story the winners of Monochrome GT4 Australia have to tell.
Silver Cup pairing Blake Purdie and Jobe Stewart didn’t know if they were competing following a gearbox change for their Audi R8 LMS GT4 on Thursday, but took a convincing victory in Race 1.
Blake Tracey and George Miedecke came close to overhauling the Audi, but fell just short in the lead Miedecke Motorsport/Lubrimaxx Ford Mustang GT4.
Jay Murray in the McElrea Racing BMW M4 GT4 G82 Evo rounded out the Silver Cup podium.
Toyota secured a Silver-Am Cup 1-2 courtesy of the Game Over Supra GT4 Evo 2 shared by Matt McCutcheon and Tony Quinn leading the Nick McBride/Dean Koutsoumidis Exedra Motorsport example.

Method Motorsport scored a double podium courtesy of Ryan Sorenson in a McLaren Artura GT4.
Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge
It was a day to remember for Sonic Motor Racing Services after Xavier Avramides and Hayden Haikel took their maiden victories.
Avramides took the win in the opening race held in wet conditions, but the hard luck story was McElrea Racing’s Karl Mrad after he led for most of the event until making a mistake to drop to third by the finish.
Racing returnee James Lodge made a near-perfect start with Jones Motorsport to take second.
Anthony Gilbertson led the way in the Am Class for McElrea Racing.
A storming drive by Haikel was rewarded with victory in Race 2 ahead of Lodge and his teammate Hunter Robb.
Eric Constantinidis took the chequered flag in the Am Class driving the TekworkX Motorsport Porsche.
Motorcraft Mustang Cup Australia.
It was a thriller in the Johnson Cup race as Josh Anderson took the lead at the penultimate corner to defeat Jack Perkins.
Perkins started from pole and led early before being overhauled by Anderson in the closing stages.
Third place went to Josh Trappett, with Ben Dunn scoring the Dark Horse Legends win.
Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli Australasia
A last lap pass gave Damian Hamilton the win in the opening race after lapped traffic worked in his favour.
It was a high pressure race between Hamilton and long-time leader Steve Wyatt, but an awkward approach to a lapped entry at Turn 12 opened the door for ascendency to change. Hamilton took full advantage to score his victory in Trofeo Pirelli. Third was Robert Scott.
Coppa Shell was secured by David Trewern and Ross Tomain was victorious Trofeo Pirelli 488.
The final day of action at the LIQUI MOLY GT Tour The Bend will begin at 8:45am ACST, which will be broadcast on Kayo and Fox Sports.
