The season so far for the newest categories of 2025

Ahead of the Trico Trans Am Series and Battery World Aussie Racing Cars Series presented by TFH Hire’s first appearance on the Shannons SpeedSeries calendar, have a brief look at the two categories’ seasons so far.

Trico Trans Am Series

The spectacular V8 rumble of the Trico Trans Am Series returns to the Shannons SpeedSeries at the historic Sandown circuit.

Reigning series winner Todd Hazelwood holds a 74-point advantage at the top of the standings driving the TFH Racing Ford Mustang.

Previous two-time champion Nathan Herne leads the pursuing pack including Garry Rogers Motorsport’s James Moffat, Nash Morris, James Golding, Ben Bargwanna and Ben Grice.

Other familiar names in the field include Jordan Cox, Elliot Barbour, Tim Slade, Jack Smith and many more ensuring action-packed, panel-bashing racing.

Battery World Aussie Racing Cars Series presented by TFH Hire

When it comes to close racing, the Battery World Aussie Racing Cars Series presented by TFH Hire delivers in spades.

The motorcycle-engined pocket rockets will suit the Sandown layout thanks to its slip-streaming potential and passing opportunities provided under heavy braking.

Joel Heinrich is targeting a hat-trick of titles and heads the standings approaching Sandown, but Kody Garland sits just two-points behind. Following an impressive rookie season in 2024, Mason Harvey is third ahead of Reece Chapman and Andrew Corish.
