Sydney will get its opportunity to experience the return of the Shannons SpeedSeries where a mix of exotic brands, excellent accessibility and superb on-track action highlight the second round of the season on May 2–4.
Headlined by the GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS, the Shannons SpeedSeries plays host to Monochrome GT4 Australia, Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli Australasia, Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge and First Focus Radical Cup Australia.

The Shannons SpeedSeries round at Sydney Motorsport Park will not be one to miss for sports car fans as displayed by the categories competing, with tickets starting at $30 for a single-day entry or $60 for a weekend pass and Friday’s sessions being free to the public.
More than 26 hours of on-track action is part of the schedule highlighted by Saturday’s massive line-up of qualifying and races heading into the night.
Adding to the spectacle is the addition of grid walk opportunities prior to the opening Monochrome GT4 Australia race on Saturday and both GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS events across the weekend enable fans to get close to the high-tech machinery.
Entry to the pit paddock is free across the event, enabling fans the perfect opportunity to check out the various exotic cars on display throughout the facility.

GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS
Five manufacturers will line up in Sydney for two one-hour races featuring Saturday’s race under lights at 7:55pm AEST.
Last time out in Phillip Island, it was Ferrari and Audi taking one win apiece, but Aston Martin was very much a part of the action.
Arise Racing GT duo Jaxon Evans and Elliott Schutte lead the Pro-Am Class after the opening round in their Ferrari 296 GT3, but the Volante Rosso Motorsport Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 of reigning champion Liam Talbot, who is joined by Declan Fraser this year, sit 13 points behind.
Third in the standings are the winners of Race 2 at Phillip Island, Broc Feeney and Brad Schumacher in the Kelso Electrical Team MPC Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II, who are just a solitary point behind the Aston Martin.
Mercedes-AMG and Lamborghini add to the diversity in Sydney, while the addition of Thomas Randle as part of the expanded Geyer Valmont Racing/Tigani Motorsport entry with Marcel Zalloua will pique the interest of race fans.
OnlyFans Team MPC’s Renee Gracie leads the Am Cup standings on count back, level on points with the Black Wolf Motorsport Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo of Ben Schoots and Shane Woodman.
The category has three sessions on Friday, two qualifying and one race on Saturday, and a final race on Sunday.
Monochrome GT4 Australia
An impressive field of 31 entries representing no less than eight manufacturers will contest Round 2 of the Monochrome GT4 Australia Series, with teams fighting for the Silver, Silver-Am and Am Cup honours.
Audi, BMW, Ford, Toyota, Ginetta, Mercedes-AMG, Porsche and McLaren make up the impressive roster, while drivers featured in the field range from the next rising stars of Australian motorsport to drivers living out their racing dream.
Method Motorsport duo Tom Hayman and Max Geoghegan lead the way in Silver Cup after Round 1 in the McLaren Artura GT4. Heading Silver-Am honours is the Gomersall Motorsport Ford Mustang GT4 of Aaron Seton and Jason Gomersall, while Am Cup was dominated by Jacob Lawrence in the lead Randall Racing BMW M4 GT4 G82.
The category will have Practice 1 and Pre-Qualifying on Friday, which will be followed by two qualifying sessions and a Race 1 on Saturday before wrapping up with one race on Sunday.

Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli Australasia

Gittany continues to impress after a dominant run at Phillip Island and leads the Trofeo Pirelli class racing the latest 296 Challenge. Jim Pollicina and Cameron Campbell proved worthy rivals at Phillip Island, with others set to join the battle in Sydney.
Coppa Shell also had a leader emerge in the form of Enzo Cheng, who emulated Gittany by achieving great success at Phillip Island. David Trewern was in close company, with Japanese driver Masahiro Taguchi aiming to improve his form heading into the round.
In the Trofeo Shell 488 class for the previous model, Michel Stephan and Jarrod Ferrari have had some entertaining battles so far this season.
Two sessions on Friday set up similar days on Saturday and Sunday, which will have qualifying and a race on each.
Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge
New Zealand rising stars Will Exton and Tom Bewley lead the way in the highly competitive Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge, but local Jake Santalucia is not far behind following a breakthrough victory at Phillip Island.
Lochie Blossom, Tyler Greenbury and Pro-Am leader Ramu Farrell were also among the front-running entries at Phillip Island.
The second tier of Porsche racing in Australia will put on quite the show in Sydney as the category again races under lights.
Porsche will be the first category to hold qualifying on Friday night, before its three races are spread across Saturday and Sunday.

First Focus Radical Cup Australia
The battles between Peter Paddon and Cooper Cutts were enthralling at the Island to kick off the 2025 season.
Just five points separate Paddon and Cutts heading to Sydney, with the classes also being closely contested after Round 1.
Terry Knowles leads the Radical Master and Radical Grand Master, while Ruairidh Avern is on top in Radical Rookie as Radical Challenge has Bradley Russell holding the ascendancy.
A busy Friday of three Practice Sessions set up Qualifying and two races on Saturday before wrapping up on Sunday morning with its third and final race.
Sydney Motorsport Park hosts Round 2 of the Shannons SpeedSeries on May 2–4.
