Sensational Sunday action concludes LIQUI MOLY GT Festival Sydney

A record crowd enjoyed superb conditions both on and off-track to conclude the LIQUI MOLY GT Festival Sydney action, which marks the penultimate round of the 2026 Shannons SpeedSeries.

Drama was plentiful throughout Sunday’s schedule where title aspirations were either bolstered or diminished.

GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS

Reigning champions Broc Feeney and Brad Schumacher came to the fore by winning Race 2 of the weekend in the Kelso Electrical/Team MPC Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II.

The duo led after the pit stops and were never headed leaving the Geyer Valmont Racing by Tigani Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo of Brendon Leitch/Sergio Pires to take second from the Trading Garage/Team MPC Audi of Valentino Astuti and Darren Currie, who scored their first podium.

Paul Stokell and Matt Stoupas secured the clean-sweep in the Trophy Class KFC/Team MPC Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II.

As did the RAM Motorsport/GWR Australia Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo of Brett Hobson and Michael Sheargold in the Am Class.

Monochrome GT4 Australia

Another dominant McLaren performance typified the Monochrome GT4 Australia action on Sunday, but this time the Silver Cup leading Method Motorsport Artura GT4 of Tom Hayman and Jett Murray secured the victory.

The Hayman/Murray entry led throughout, followed by the Blake Tracey/George Miedecke Lubrimaxx/Miedecke Motorsport Ford Mustang GT4 and the Purdie Racing Audi R8 LMS GT4 of Blake Purdie/Jobe Stewart.

Silver-Am Cup honours went to Cody Burcher/Dean Campbell in the Method Motorsport Ford Mustang GT4 ahead of the Caleb Paterson/Kent Quinn Norganic Proteins Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS CS. Aaron Seton and debutant Anthony Di Mauro completed the class podium in the Gomersall Motorsport Ford.

Am Cup was led by the Gomersall Motorsport Ford Mustang GT4 of Glenn Walker from title rivals Nathan Callaghan/Chris Lillis sharing the Method Motorsport Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS CS. The Ekebol MPC Ford of Jarrod Keyte finished third.

Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge

Kobi Williams was cruelly denied another Jim Richards Endurance Championship victory and a comfortable series lead in the Sydney finale for Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge.

Williams was 20-seconds in front beginning the final lap before a tyre delaminated leaving the Tyler Greenbury Racing driver to finish fifth.

This led to a Sonic Motor Racing Services 1-2, with Xavier Avramides taking the win ahead of Hayden Haikal.

Ryan Suhle completed the podium ahead of Daniel Quimby and Williams.

In the earlier race, TekworkX Motorsport’s Lincoln Taylor was a clear winner from Williams and Haikal.

Motorcraft Mustang Cup Australia

Josh Anderson got his title aspirations back on-track after taking the victory in Race 2 following a hard-fought battle with Oli Wickham.

Wickham is $4000 richer after clean-sweeping the Ford Insure Pole Position Awards and taking the Driving Solutions prize for achieving the feat; he led the second event of the weekend early.

Anderson made his move at the halfway point of the race and overtook Wickham to take his fourth win of the season.

Wickham finishing second capped off a solid weekend for the young gun, while Patrick Tappett completed the podium on debut after Joe Fawcett lost third gear during the closing stages.

Ben Dunn completed the double in the Dark Horse Legends class.

Ferrari Challenge Australasia

Champions were crowned as Ferrari Challenge Australasia concluded its second season in thrilling circumstances.

Enzo Cheng won the Trofeo Pirelli class on a countback after scoring second in Race 2 to finish level on points with fourth-placed Jim Pollicina. Cheng’s two race wins bettered Pollicina’s sole victory to deliver the Trofeo Pirelli crown.\

Cheng was defeated in the final race of the season by Steve Wyatt, who overtook Cheng during the final laps to take his second win of 2026. Damian Hamilton completed the podium to end the year in impressive fashion.

Masahiro Taguchi’s redemption wasn’t enough to take the Coppa Shell title, as his DNF in Race 1 proved costly. David Trewern finished second to take home the crown, while Aemel Nordin was third.

The Cheng family had two reasons to celebrate at the end of Race 2, with Enzo securing the title and brother Andrei taking the Trofeo Pirelli 488 class ahead of Greg Symons and Tim Howes.

Radical Cup Australia

Arise Racing’s Clint Hancock took victory in the final Radical Cup Australia race of the weekend.

Hancock led home an Arise Racing 1-2-3, with teammates Chris Reindler and Bryce Moore finishing second, followed by Brad Russell.

Reindler/Moore took out the Pro-Am Class, while Hancock, Russell and Ibby Hadeed formed the Am Class podium.
