Fans will witness new and improved LED information panels on competing vehicles during the first round of the 2018 CAMS GT Championship.
Initially tested in 2016, the panels have the aim to provide fans with extra race info.
In 2017, they were introduced as a compulsory feature, predominantly used to show stationary pit times and displaying the car number.
Developed in Australia, the new update will now broadcast the car’s position in class and reflect positional changes automatically.
The new changes should benefit fans both at the track and watching on at home as the ongoing development of the panel allows for new information to be reported.
Fans can see the upgraded LED light panels in action for the first during the 2018 CAMS Australian GT Championship race at this year’s Formula 1 2018 Rolex Australian Grand Prix on 22-25 March.
