Yes. As FOXTEL is a subscription service and not free, which includes FOX SPORTS and Kayo SPORTS, individuals within Australia wanting to watch the Shannons SpeedSeries coverage must have a valid subscription to either FOXTEL or Kayo SPORTS.
Prices for each subscription are available on their respective websites.
FOXTEL, FOX SPORTS and Kayo SPORTS are widely regarded as the home of motorsport in Australia, with Formula 1, Supercars, MotoGP and NASCAR all on the platform.
Being within that premium motorsport broadcast ecosystem strengthens the credibility of the Shannons SpeedSeries, as well as expanding its reach to fans who may not be familiar with the Shannons SpeedSeries.
It also has a diverse range of other popular sports as part of its service, including AFL, NRL, cricket and more – exposing the Shannons SpeedSeries to broader sports fans and audiences.
Moving to the successful subscription platform will have a positive effect on the Shannons SpeedSeries’ reach, as FOXTEL boasts a total subscriber base of almost 5 million people across its multiple services, one third of whom are active users of Kayo SPORTS.
Many motorsport fans around the country will already have a subscription due to the likes of Formula 1, Supercars and MotoGP already being on the platform.
No races will be on free-to-air TV, as all televised sessions of the Shannons SpeedSeries will be shown exclusively on FOXTEL, FOX SPORTS and Kayo SPORTS.
Viewers outside Australia will be able to watch GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS and Monochrome GT4 Australia sessions live and free on the GT World YouTube page.

Unfortunately, the Shannons SpeedSeries will be shown exclusively on FOX SPORTS and Kayo SPORTS and you will need a subscription to watch, or watch with someone who has an active account.
The rise in ticket prices and the switch to FOX SPORTS are not in correlation with each other, with the former a result of growing inflation costs, while the move to FOX SPORTS represents a significant strategic step forward for the series to align it with other major sporting codes and motorsport categories.
Fans are one of the biggest priorities for SRO Motorsports Australia, with FOXTEL’s service offering a user-friendly interface, high-quality content and a large audience.
While fans were not directly involved in the decision-making process, many Australian sports fans have access to Kayo SPORTS and/or FOXTEL, making it an ideal destination for the Shannons SpeedSeries.
The quality of the broadcast will not be affected by the move, as the highly esteemed production house Rainmaker will once again be the official Production Partner of the Shannons SpeedSeries.
Having already played a key role in the delivery of the Shannons SpeedSeries in 2024 and half of the 2025 season, Rainmaker has provided high-quality coverage and production expertise.
Like previous years, a large portion of Saturday and Sunday sessions during each round will feature as part of the Shannons SpeedSeries broadcasts, and the move to FOX SPORTS and Kayo SPORTS will not change that.
International viewers will not be affected by the change to FOX SPORTS and Kayo SPORTS, with all GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS and Monochrome GT4 Australia televised sessions broadcast on SRO Motorsports’ GT World YouTube channel.
