Following a successful start to the 2025 season at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, the Shannons SpeedSeries turns its attention to the second round of the year with GT Festival Sydney —with the launch of the official event poster marking the beginning of the countdown to this highly anticipated event.
Taking place at the ever-popular Sydney Motorsport Park from 2–4 May, fans will be treated to more than 15 hours of on-track action, with five exciting categories on track both during the day and under lights.
All five categories from the season opener will be make up the Sydney bill, with GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS, Monochrome GT4 Australia, Ferrari Challenge Pirelli Trofeo Australasia, Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge Australia and First Focus Radical Cup Australia all returning.
The event gets underway on Friday with Practice and Pre-Qualifying sessions for all five categories — with several of the final sessions taking place under lights. Saturday will be the busiest day of the weekend, with the first round of qualifying and racing action, as well as the eagerly anticipated night races, while Sunday serves as the final day and will see each category wrap up their rounds with a mix of qualifying and races.
In total, the weekend will feature 13 races and eight qualifying sessions. All sessions will be broadcast live on 7plus for Australian viewers, with the selected races on both Saturday and Sunday also airing on free-to-air TV.
International viewers can catch all GT World Challenge Australia and Monochrome GT4 Australia sessions on the GT World YouTube channel.
For those attending in person, Friday is free, track & view available, free paddock access is one of the major highlights, giving fans the opportunity to meet drivers and teams and see the cars up close.
Entry on Friday is free for everyone, while fans aged 15 and under can attend all weekend for free.
