The Shannons SpeedSeries will have a change in its broadcast team for the upcoming LIQUI MOLY GT Festival Queensland with Thomas Randle to join the line-up for the round.
Already a familiar face in the Shannons SpeedSeries, having been a regular part of last year’s coverage, Randle will step in as a once-off replacement for Nick Percat, who was unavailable for the visit to Queensland Raceway.
It won’t be the first time the Victorian has featured at the Shannons SpeedSeries this year either, with Randle contesting the two opening rounds of GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS with Mark Rosser in the Castrol Team BRM Audi R8 LMS EVO II.
While his driving duties are now complete for the year, Randle will link back up with regular hosts Greg Rust, Chris Stubbs, Charlie Barlow and Richard Craill for the broadcast, which takes place live and uninterrupted on FOX SPORTS Australia and Kayo Sports on Saturday and Sunday.
The bumper Saturday coverage will begin from 8:15am AEST and conclude at 6:15pm and will feature races for all five categories, with Sunday’s broadcast to run from 10:00am AEST and conclude at 3:30pm.
While the broadcast will be one of many exciting aspects of the highly anticipated LIQUI MOLY GT Festival Queensland, there are plenty of activations available for attendees to enjoy across the weekend.
Starting off with a free Friday for all, which will include the first race of the weekend, there will be the brand new Shannons rig and Trak Racer simulator available throughout the event, while Saturday will feature a special night race for Monochrome GT4 Australia.
Then a super Sunday will see off the weekend in style with a range of activations including signing sessions involving all Monochrome GT4 Australia and GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS drivers, a public pitlane walk, free public grid walks for both Mustang Cup Australia and Monochrome GT4 Australia.

The Shannons SpeedSeries’ third event of the year, the LIQUI MOLY GT Festival Queensland, takes place at Queensland Raceway on 12-14 June.
