Following the exciting visit to Queensland Raceway for EVENTelec GT Festival Queensland, the countdown for Round 4 of the 2025 Shannons SpeedSeries season, GT Festival Sandown, has kicked off.
Taking place at the iconic Sandown International Raceway in Victoria at the end of July, GT Festival Sandown will have five categories on the bill, including two new appearances.
Once again forming part of a Shannons SpeedSeries round will be GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS, Monochrome GT4 Australia and First Focus Radical Cup Australia, while the three regular categories will be joined by Battery World Aussie Racing Cars and AU3 Championship.
It’s been quite some time since Aussie Racing Cars has appeared on the Shannons SpeedSeries calendar, with the popular category having last run in the series back in 2018 at Sydney Motorsport Park, while 2025 marks the inaugural season for AU3 Championship, which runs as Australia’s top-level for Formula Regional open-wheeler racing.
There will be plenty of opportunities for fans to watch the action unfold throughout the weekend, both at the track and from the comfort of their own homes, with 7plus and 7mate once again to broadcast Saturday and Sunday’s schedules around Australia.
International viewers will also be able to catch all GT World Challenge Australia and Monochrome GT4 Australia sessions on the GT World YouTube channel.
For those attending in person, entry on Friday is free for everyone, park & view is available all weekend and paddock access plus grid walks are some of the major highlights, giving fans the opportunity to meet drivers and teams and see the cars up close.
Ticket prices start at $35 for a daily pass, $60 for a weekend pass, and corporate hospitality packages are available from $335 per person, while fans aged 15 and under can attend all weekend for free. With early bird ticketing still available, fans interested in coming to GT Festival Sandown are encouraged to book their place soon before they miss out on special discounts.
