Following the recent announcement of the Shannons SpeedSeries being housed on the Seven Network in 2025, a five-strong line-up has now been confirmed as the new broadcast team.
Featuring a diverse mix of veterans, familiar faces and new recruits, the 2025 Shannons SpeedSeries coverage will be led by Greg Rust, Chris Stubbs, Richard Craill, Isabella Leembruggen and Tom Randle.
A favourite amongst fans, Rust brings plenty of experience to the fold as one of the most decorated media personalities in motorsport courtesy of a career spanning more than three decades. Like Rust, Craill is an extremely popular figure in Australian motorsport and has been a permanent fixture on the Shannons SpeedSeries coverage over the years.
As for Stubbs, the Tasmanian boasts a lengthy tenure in the national and international sporting landscape as a presenter and journalist – leading the coverage for some of the world’s biggest sporting events, as well as also being a motorsport correspondent and reporter for major outlets.
While Rust, Stubbs and Craill resume their roles in the Shannons SpeedSeries after a number of years, Randle and Leembruggen enter what will be their first campaigns.
The Shannons SpeedSeries season opener in Phillip Island next month won’t be Randle’s first time in front of the camera for the championship, with the Victorian having appeared at multiple rounds in the past. While the least-experienced media personality out of the team, the Supercars star will undoubtedly have an insightful input into the team, providing expert commentary from a driver’s perspective.
Rounding out the team is Leembruggen, who is fast becoming a star personality – serving the likes of Fox Sports and Sky News Australia as a Presenter and Video Journalist – covering the likes of MotoGP, PGA, NRL, Fox Sports News, and most recently, the Formula 1 Louis Vuitton Australian Grand Prix.
All five individuals will feature prominently during the coverage at each round in 2025 while sharing the duties as hosts, commentators and pit lane reporters.
There will be more than 100 hours of action to feature in the coverage with a minimum of two days per-round to be broadcast on either 7plus Sport or 7mate for Australian viewers, and online for international audiences.
The 2025 Shannons SpeedSeries kicks off with GT Festival Phillip Island on 4-6 April, with tickets available to purchase via speedseries.com.au/tickets.
