BMW is the latest major brand to get behind the Shannons SpeedSeries in 2025, with the internationally renowned manufacturer signing on as the Official Car Partner.
As part of the partnership, BMW will provide two BMW M3s to take on the role of both Safety Car and Course Car at all six rounds of the Shannons SpeedSeries.
The two cars were revealed for the first time at SRO Motorsports Australia’s GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS and Monochrome GT4 Australia Media Day at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit earlier this week.
In addition to the two BMW M3s featuring prominently at Shannons SpeedSeries events in an official capacity, the brand will also have a large representation from a competition point of view via six entries in Monochrome GT4 Australia.
Making up the pool of BMWs entries are the three-car charge of reigning AM Cup champions, Randall Racing, who have husband and wife duo Suzzane and Lib Palermo joining Jacob Lawrence, Peter Lawrence and Jamie Augustine, the race-winning Ash Seward Motorsport duo of Tim Leahey and Cody Burcher, and series debutant Glenn Walker of Gomersall Racing- all of whom will be behind the wheel of BMW M4 GT4 F82s.
Rounding out the field of BMWs is the collaborative entry of Nathan Murray and McElrea Racing, who will be running a BMW M4 GT4 G82 EVO for the season.
The six-round Shannons SpeedSeries begins at Phillip Island early next month and is followed by visits to popular Australian circuits Sydney Motorsports Park, Queensland Raceway, Sandown Raceway and The Bend before wrapping up at Hampton Downs In New Zealand.
The opening round of Shannons SpeedSeries will be held at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit on 4-6 April.
